Charles Nicholls Woolnoth (7 May 1815 - 21 March 1906) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Thomas Alfred Woolnoth (1785 - 1857), an engraver for Queen Victoria.[6]

His mother was Harriet Johnson.

Charles Nicholls Woolnoth was born in Islington, London, England on 7 May 1815.

He married Elizabeth Sainsbury Hall (23 July 1823 - October 1913) from Leigh Park, Havant in Hampshire, England. They married on 21 April 1848 in Newton Abbot, Devon, England.

His son Alfred Woolnoth (c. 1849 - 17 April 1897) also became an artist.

He died on 21 March 1906 in Glasgow.

The value of his estate was given as £4592, 9 shillings and 4 pence.[7]
