John Crawford Wintour (October 1825 - 29 July 1882) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was William Wintour, a currier.[3]
His mother was Margaret Crawford, a farmer's daughter.[4]
John Crawford Wintour was born in Wright's House in Edinburgh in October 1825.[5]
He married Charlotte Ross (c. 1821 - 17 September 1882), a music teacher from Edinburgh. They had no family.

His estate was valued at £277 and 11 pence.[7]
