George Cuthbert Watson (9 October 1893 - 13 June 1965) was a Scottish painter and sculptor.[1][2]
Life

His father was William Watson (25 July 1842 - 14 February 1910), a schoolmaster from Fossoway in Perthshire.
His mother was Jane Alexander (30 January 1859 - 2 November 1923) from Tranent, East Lothian. William and Jane married in 1883 in Musselburgh.
George Cuthbert Watson was born on 9 October 1893 in Musselburgh, East Lothian.[4]
He married Ann Smith Robertson, known as Nan, in 1931 at Newington, Edinburgh.
They had a daughter Claire.
Art

[edit]He died on 13 June 1965 in Kirkcudbright.[6] His usual address was then 17 Swanston Place, Edinburgh.
He was cremated on 17 June 1965 at Warriston, Edinburgh.
