Murray Macpherson Tod (15 January 1909 - 13 August 1974) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was William Tod (1868 - 2 April 1948), an engineer and director of a Clydeside shipbuilding company from Liverpool, England.
His mother was Janet Robb Murray (10 October 1875 - 25 June 1957) from Greenock. William and Janet married on 1 September 1904.
Murray Macpherson Tod was born in Glasgow on 15 January 1909.[3][4]
He married Marjorie Ashworth Lucas (31 May 1911 - 17 April 1997) from London, England. They married on 26 February 1938 in Ilkley, Yorkshire, England.[5]
