James Fraser Taylor (c. 1853 - 8 January 1915) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was John Taylor (born c. 1828), an agricultural labourer from Huntly.

His mother was Isabella Fraser (born c. 1833) from Cairnie in Aberdeenshire. John and Isabella married on 18 July 1852 in Huntly.

James Fraser Taylor was born c. 1853 in Huntly.

He married Jemima Burt Herd (19 September 1856 - 6 January 1932) from Wemyss in Fife. They married on 14 December 1910 in Morningside, Edinburgh.

Death

He died on 8 January 1915 at Viewforth, Lower Largo in Fife.[8] The cause of death was registered as a duodenal ulcer.

He was buried in Metropolitan cemetery, Edinburgh.

His estate was valued at £164, 14 shillings and 11 pence.[9]
