Elizabeth Swinton (c. 1815 - ) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was John Campbell Swinton (22 September 1777 - 8 March 1867) from Edinburgh. He was the laird of Kimmerghame in the Scottish Borders.[3]
Her mother was Catherine Rannie (1790 - 1 January 1821). John and Catherine married on 15 March 1809. Catherine was to die in childbirth, just after she delivered a still born son.[4]
