Shenzhen Metro CNR Changchun A-stock EMU is a type of train of Shenzhen Metro, running on Line 1, Line 2 and Line 5. The train is manufactured by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd.

History

  • At the end of 2006, CRRC Changchun signed a contract with Shenzhen Metro Co., Ltd. to purchase additional vehicles for the first phase of the Shenzhen Metro project. CRRC Changchun independently developed four trains of 24 Type A subway coaches for Shenzhen. The trains rolled off the assembly line in 2008 and were put into operation in 2010.[1]
  • On February 23, 2011, the 26th and 27th trains of Line 2 arrived at Shekou West Depot via Pingnan Railway Shekou Station. [1]
  • On December 28, 2012, Shenzhen Metro Group held a signing ceremony for the additional vehicle purchase contract. A total of 38 additional trains were purchased for Line 2 and Line 5 (37 trains actually arrived), manufactured by China CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd.
  • On November 18, 2014, the first two additional trains of Line 5 arrived at the section.
  • In May 2015, the additional trains for Line 2 (including 2391/2396 trains) were delivered to Shenzhen East Station by Type A transport and then transferred to Shekou West Depot by flatbed trucks.。
  • On May 5, 2015, the first additional train (train number: 532) of Line 5 went online to carry passengers.
  • On July 10, 2015, the additional train (train number: 536) of Line 5 went online.。[2]
  • On September 15, 2015, the first additionally purchased train for Line 2 (train number: 236) went into passenger service.
