Tynycwm Halt railway station served the town of Risca, Monmouthshire, Wales, from 1935 to 1962 on the Monmouthshire Railway.
History
[edit]The station was opened on 17 April 1935 by the Great Western Railway. It closed on 30 April 1962.[1][2] I remember travelling daily, with my older sister, sometimes on a GWR Railcar, usually on a two part diesel, to school in Risca from Tyn y Cwm Halt in 1958/9. The return fare was 3d.
