Thet Hein Soe (Burmese: သက်ဟိန်းစိုး; born 29 September 2001) is a Burmese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Shan United and the Myanmar national team. A graduate of the Myanmar Football Academy, he began his senior career with Yadanarbon FC, where he impressed with his defensive skills and contributed four goals in 24 appearances. In 2024, he joined Shan United and became a key part of their squad, helping the team secure the Myanmar National League title in the 2024–25 season. Known for his versatility, composure, and tactical awareness, Thet Hein Soe has also represented Myanmar at various youth levels and earned his senior national team debut in 2023. By 2025, he had collected over a dozen international caps and was recognized as one of the most promising defenders in Myanmar football.
Club career

[edit]He moved from Yadanarbon Youth team to senior team. During his time at Yadanarbon FC (2022–2023), full-back Thet Hein Soe gradually established himself in the first team. In the 2022 Myanmar National League season, he featured in 5 league matches, registering 0 goals as Yadanarbon finished sixth that year. By the 2023 season, he solidified his role with a further 10 appearances, enhancing the defensive depth of the squad. Though not prolific offensively, his main contribution was consistent performances at left back, helping the team maintain mid-table stability during his tenure.
Shan United
[edit]Thet Hein Soe joined Shan United in February 2024 and quickly established himself as a key figure in the club's defense. Primarily playing as a left back, he also demonstrated versatility by covering the center back role when needed. During the 2024–25 Myanmar National League season, he made 29 appearances across all competitions, helping Shan United maintain one of the league’s strongest defensive records. His consistent performances contributed to the club’s league title run and solid campaigns in both the AFC Challenge League and ASEAN Club Championship. Known for his composure, tactical awareness, and stamina, Thet Hein Soe's development at Shan United has confirmed his status as one of Myanmar’s most promising young defenders. [1]
