The Accident (Spanish: Accidente) is a Mexican thriller drama television series directed by Klych López and Gracia Querejeta and written by Leonardo Padrón.[1] Produced by Mar Abierto Productions, and stars Ana Claudia Talancón, Eréndira Ibarra and Erick Elías.[2] The series premiered on Netflix on August 21, 2024.[3] The plot centers on the aftermath of three children dying when a bouncy castle, full of children, flies away.[4] It was renewed for season 2 in January 2025.[5]
Plot
[edit]During the birthday party of Rodrigo, the son of Daniela (Ana Claudia Talancón) and Emiliano (Sebastián Martínez). Everything seems festive and normal, until a strong gust of wind causes the inflatable bounce house full of children to lift off and fly away. The tragic accident kills three children and leaves others injured or missing.
From that devastating moment on, the lives of several families are shattered. Guilt—personal and shared—begins to surface, secrets emerge, and suspicion grows. Loyalties break, resentment grows, and a tense web of vengeance and emotional trauma takes over the community.
