Super Y League
[edit]@Blaixx and IagoQnsi: Could/Should the Super Y League be added to this template? SportsFan007 (talk) 23:35, 15 March 2019 (UTC)SportsFan007
- I think it's different enough that it should not be included, given that it's a youth league and the other 3 are adult leagues. BLAIXX 13:13, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
Post-move difficulties?
[edit]@Intrisit and Rotideypoc41352: I'm thankful that my move request was finally acted upon, but I was wondering what exactly happened here: [1][2][3]? Why did {{USL Championship}} need to be touched at all? — AFC Vixen 🦊 14:46, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- I have the same question. I still haven't figured out what Anachronist did (that they referred to in an edit summary) and how Intrinsit tried to fix it. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 15:02, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- Me? All I did was delete Template:United Soccer League because Intrisit put a {{db-move}} tag on it to make way for a other content to be moved under that title. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:42, 26 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, well, in that case, I misinterpreted the

in the edit summary [linked in my previous comment above]. Thanks for the correction! Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 20:47, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

Intrisit has responded on WP:RM/TR: "AFC Vixen wanted a move from the "Template:USL divisions" title to the "Template:United Soccer League" which I used the {{G6}} tag to execute. The "Template:USL Championship 2025" title was just a placeholder since I could only move the {{USL Championship}} template over a redirect to the "Template:United Soccer League" title
" [4].
@Intrisit: I guess I'm still wondering why {{USL Championship}} even needed to be touched at all? I would've thought it'd be a simple deletion of the Template:United Soccer League redirect, and move of {{USL divisions}} into the newly-vacated name. — AFC Vixen 🦊 21:40, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- Looking at the move history (in collapsible box below), Intrisit reverted an old 2018 move of
{{USL Championship}}
, moved it again to{{USL Championship 2025}}
with an edit summary that refers to the initialmove already done in error!
, and requested the redirect left behind at Template:United_Soccer_League be G6'd. - So, AFC Vixen, you're right that only the League template needed to be touched but not the Championship one.
- Ahecht helped us move the Championship template back to the longstanding title and kept the redirect to avoid
leav[ing] the non-redirect dangling for a potential future action by another editor
(permalink to RM/TR conversation). I suppose Intrisit could attempt to tag Template:USL Championship 2025 {{db-multi|error|g7|r3|rationale=I did not mean to move this template at all, so requesting deletion of resulting redirect}} and see what a reviewing admin thinks, but the deletion of the redirect is likely not a huge deal. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 05:00, 30 April 2025 (UTC)- Didn't really seem to be any reason to keep it lying around. Article namespace redirects are a lot more useful than Template ones. — Cyrius|✎ 23:46, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
