Usage

  • {{WikiProject Volcanoes|class= |importance= }} – this template is used to tag articles maintained through WikiProject Volcanoes. Place the template on an article's talk page to add it to the project. An article's assessment is generated from the optional class and importance parameters.

General parameters

Class

An article's quality assessment is recorded using the |class= parameter in the {{WikiProject banner shell}}. Articles that have the {{WikiProject Volcanoes}} banner template on their talk page will be added to the appropriate categories by quality.

The following standard grades may be used to describe the quality of mainspace articles (see Wikipedia:Content assessment for assessment criteria):

FA (for featured articles only; adds them to the FA-Class WikiProject Volcanoes articles category)  FA
FL (for featured lists only; adds them to the FL-Class WikiProject Volcanoes articles category)  FL
A (for articles that passed a formal peer review only; adds them to the A-Class WikiProject Volcanoes articles category)  A
GA (for good articles only; adds them to the GA-Class WikiProject Volcanoes articles category)  GA
B (for articles that satisfy all of the B-Class criteria; adds them to the B-Class WikiProject Volcanoes articles category) B

Start (for developing articles; adds them to the Start-Class WikiProject Volcanoes articles category) Start

For non-mainspace content, the following values may be used:

FM (for featured media only; adds them to the FM-Class WikiProject Volcanoes pages category)  FM

The following non-standard assessment grades for mainspace content may be used at a WikiProject's discretion:

Importance

An article's importance assessment is generated from the importance parameter in the {{WikiProject Volcanoes}} project banner on its talk page:

The following values may be used for the importance parameter to describe the relative importance of the article within the project (see Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Priority of topic for assessment criteria):

Top (adds articles to Category:Top-importance WikiProject Volcanoes articles)  Top 
High (adds articles to Category:High-importance WikiProject Volcanoes articles)  High 
Mid (adds articles to Category:Mid-importance WikiProject Volcanoes articles)  Mid

Quality scale

The class should be assigned according to the quality scale on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Volcanoes/Assessment page, which is identical to the one at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment.

Importance scale

The importance should be assigned according to the importance scale on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Volcanoes/Assessment page. The importance scale has been written specifically for WikiProject Volcanoes, so please read it carefully prior to making assessments of importance for this project.
