146.200.44.244, the recent edits being made are entirely style edits and removing unsourced content. Nothing is being "censored" in any "tyrannical" sense, merely making it look better and removing the statement about Saudi Arabia that hasn't been backed up by any source, and making the header read more neutrally. — ser! ^{(chat to me - see my edits)} 20:39, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Removed section on "training wings"

I've just removed the long section on "training wings" in this edit because the content was unsourced (one single source was given but I checked it and it didn't contain said content), outdated, not encyclopedic. It read more like content copied from some Worldbank websites. EMsmile (talk) 08:52, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Overlap with World Bank Group

Given the overlap between the articles, I think this article should be merged into World Bank Group. The difference between the two is that the World Bank is two out of the five World Bank Group institutions, but all five are covered in World Bank and World Bank Group is mostly about the two (because they are the most important). In particular:

Most of the content in World Bank Group#Criticisms is about the World Bank, and they are awkwardly cross-linked
The list of presidents is duplicated, because these are the same office, as are the board of directors etc.
World Bank#Members covers the institutions outside of the World Bank
World Bank Group#History only covers the World Bank, and is extremely short compared to World Bank#History
Some parts of World Bank#Methods are explicitly talking about the World Bank Group, and it's unclear if most of the content applies only to the World Bank or if it applies across the entire Group.

If we don't merge, some de-duplication and rearranging seems to be in order. -- Beland (talk) 20:05, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
