My photo being vandalized?

[edit]

I read on the edit history that Streamline8988 removed my image of a wind turbine due to "vandalism." What happened? I have not visited this page for a while since I uploaded my own photo but I know it was there for a decent amount of time until its removal.

Tallest Turbine Update Request

[edit]

After doing some research on wind turbines, I decided to check to see if the Nordex 3.3 MW is still the tallest turbine. It is not anymore. The tallest is now a German-made turbine that is around 247 meters tall(170 meters to the top of the tower.) It was built by the company Max Bögl Wind AG in 2017. - MilesMcintyre

Wind turbine fires

[edit]

There is nothing in this article on wind turbine fires. There have been a number of well-publicised fires, including fatalities in at least one case. So sources should be no problem.

Watch this space, or help greatly appreciated. Andrewa (talk) 06:28, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Other links etc welcome of course. Andrewa (talk) 06:37, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

section 'Wind turbine spacing'

[edit]

By now, this section is (too) short.

Wind Power Headwinds: Ørsted and Equinor Warn of Major Losses from New North Sea Project (17 April 2025): Ørsted and Equinor are raising concerns: the planned 1.5GW Outer Dowsing offshore wind farm could, according to their calculations, lead to wake losses of up to £361 million—threatening the profitability of existing windfarms.

The article ends saying The controversy surrounding the Outer Dowsing project highlights the increasing complexity of offshore wind expansion in crowded marine zones. While offshore wind remains one of the most promising sources of clean energy, technical and economic interactions between neighboring wind farms could complicate further development more than previously thought.

Existing Dudgeon and Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm could be affected by Outer Dowsing. 62.143.250.202 (talk) 07:55, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
