Vimercati (family)Vimercati – This article's subject is the primary topic for the term "Vimercati", so per WP:CONCISE its title should not have parenthetical disambiguation. It was moved to the base title by UtherSRG, but this move was reverted by Federicoriet. jlwoodwa (talk) 23:10, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Support - Per policy, if there is no other existing article for the base name, then there should not (generally) be a disambiguator on the article title. - UtherSRG (talk) 23:42, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Vimercati family is the form I would expect to see. I realize it's less concise but it appears more standard. WP:NCBIOMULTI does not state a requirement but the example at the first bullet it: * Peruzzi, a family as an entity of interest in its own right (the family name is used as the article title, though "Surname family" is a more common pattern, e.g. Kennedy family). --MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 03:02, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Support. I note this reverses
17:58, 1 June 2025 Federicoriet talk contribs block m 13,997 bytes 0 Federicoriet moved page Vimercati to Vimercati (family) over redirect: the current title is nonstandard. 'Vimercati family' reflects Wikipedia conventions for noble families and is clearer to readers.
This rationale doesn't make any sense to me. But it suggests and I agree that Vimercati family should exist as redirect (as of course should the current article title if the move goes ahead). I note that the only family member currently with an article is Ottaviano Vimercati. If this changes we might need to revisit. But for the moment, the shorter name for this article is fine.
