Hey, well done for your hard work on this article - it is really, really interesting! It is well-sourced and Earwig shows no copyright violations. I only have a few comments:

Thank you!
  1. Lead - "with no need for a spoken language, but it appears that it was adopted as part of their assumption of physical, humanlike forms" - This sounds a bit informal and like an opinion - could you please reword it and attribute it?
    Edited.
  2. External - "the tongue Oromë taught to the speechless Elves" - I would replace "tongue" with "language" or another word for clarity
    Done.
  3. External - "he decided to drop that idea" - Is there any information on why he did that?
His internal thought processes are not documented. We know he constantly refined and adjusted his languages and the stories around them throughout his life.
  4. Internal - "it appears that" - According to whom?
    Edited.
  5. Internal - "Valarin is alien to the ears of the Elves sometimes to the point of genuine displeasure" I think this needs rewording to sound more formal, particularly the first bit
    Edited.
  6. Internal - Please can you link "loanwords"?
    Done.
  7. Grammar - Please can you link "infix", "passive participle", "roots" and "nominative" please for readers unfamiliar with linguistic terms?
    Done.
  8. Is there any information on reception, like what critics and readers think of the language? Or if it appears in any adaptations?
    I don't believe so.
  9. Are there any free images you can use to fulfil the GA criteria? Perhaps one of Tolkien?
    Added.
  10. Are there any more sources or information that could be added to expand the article? It would strengthen it a lot
These are the key sources that I know of.
  11. Are there any other non-offline sources that could be added?
    Not really.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need any help at all! DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 10:30, 12 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
