As a non American, it would be interesting to read some information about what the 250th Anniversary means. (I don't care about Trump.) It took some searching to find this: "The U.S. Army was founded on 14 June 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized enlistment of riflemen to serve the United Colonies for one year. June 14th is celebrated as the U.S. Army Birthday." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Army_Birthdays Ngilgi (talk) 12:12, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
- I added a clarification to the lede that it was founded on 14 June 1775. Otherwise, it can be mistaken that the 14th was chosen solely due to Trump's birthday which would not be accurate. 2001:BB6:5FF5:B000:2459:64FA:FA56:A336 (talk) 16:36, 14 June 2025 (UTC)

While 150 military vehicles will roll through D.C.'s streets on June 14, this four-legged soldier may prove the parade’s most memorable star.[1] 24.194.32.135 (talk) 13:14, 13 June 2025 (UTC)

U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Parade → United States Army 250th Anniversary Parade – The use of U.S. is informal and not the proper title. It should have "United States" included because that is the correct and official name of the parade. DCAllStar (talk) 17:27, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- Support per OP's argument freesucrose (talk) 18:41, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- Support as main article United States Army does not use the abbreviation. Paul Vaurie (talk) 19:39, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose both titles seem to be used in sources and U.S. is unambiguous, changing it would make it inconsistent across U.S. government agency subtopics per WP:SHORTFORM. The abbreviation isn't confusing and the other page already redirects to this one, consistent with MOS:ACROTITLE. Treeditor (talk) 21:35, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- But that isn't the standard. The United States Army article isn't titled U.S. Army, so this shouldn't be either. DCAllStar (talk) 21:38, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- U.S. Army Birthdays is abbreviated, but there doesn't seem to be much consistency between U.S. Army and United States Army within Army articles. Treeditor (talk) 21:50, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- I just put it up to be renamed by the way, to create consistency. DCAllStar (talk) 00:06, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- Titles should be concise as well as consistent per WP:CRITERIA. Treeditor (talk) 00:27, 15 June 2025 (UTC)

- Support I think the periods in the "U.S." abbreviation look strange and will make it harder for people to find this page. BootsED (talk) 23:57, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
