Different Stanley Zabka

"Stanley Zabka, 26 son of Mr and Mrs Molliven Zabka of Northfield farms will enter the service of the coast guard on Thursday as a seaman first class. It is the rating he last held when he was honorably discharged October 3, 1940, while serving-aboard the USS Vincennes. He will be sent to the Boston station of the coast guard for immediate service".[1] "He joined the coast guard in March, 1942, and has been stationed in Boston, New London, Conn., and New Orleans before going overseas in December, 1944. He participated in five major battles. Prior to entering the service het was employed at the Boston navy yard".[2] Zabka married Alice Sophie Wozniak in October 1943.[3]
