Requested move to "Sand dropseed"
[edit]I propose renaming this article from Sporobolus cryptandrus to Sand dropseed, which is its widely used and recognized common name.
According to USDA, Forest Service of USDA, the National Park Service and most plant blogs, "sand dropseed" is the primary name used by the public and scientific communication:

https://pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Sporobolus+cryptandrus
https://www.nps.gov/articles/bison-bellows-3-24-16.htm
Wikipedia guidelines (WP:UCN) favor common names when they are unambiguous and widely used, which applies here.
The Latin name would remain as a redirect. Oscar.garcia.miranda (talk) 18:18, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
