Is it incorrect to credit this song as “traditional”?

When it’s listed in credits it’s often shown as traditional. Is that correct or should the authors be credited. Since it’s in the public domain does that make a difference? 2600:1700:4E10:C690:54FF:7065:8B11:C1 (talk) 02:11, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
