What's up with that last sentence? It seems completely out of place.LockeShocke 00:15, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree - not a relevant comment (I can see where it's coming from, but it shouldn't be there). GBM 21:34, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi you guys, i disagree about irrelevance, the data is from an article called The geopolitics of sexual frustration, the article suggests that mate-selection-satisfaction is due to decline. I will make this more clearSpencerk 15:33, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

The first part of this article is a quite vulgar and insensitive use of vandalism. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.205.3.245 (talk) 10:50, 26 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Picture?

[edit]

Someone added a request for a picture; does anyone have any ideas as to what sort of photo would be useful? Nave.notnilc (talk) 13:49, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I consider it vandalism. The same person keeps spamming many articles with photo requests, whether or not it is appropriate of needed. I removed that request and the rest of his spam. Astronaut (talk) 16:58, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Short

[edit]

This is a ridiculously short blurb of an article. It should be improved or merged with blue balls, incel (if we're going to even have that one!) or eliminated. MurderByDeadcopy"bang!" 07:47, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No to this tag you added. And no to your other suggestions for it. Blue balls is distinctly male, and more medical. And as for incel, I'd wager that you are aware of the continual dispute, as seen here and here, regarding that topic on Wikipedia. Deletion is not cleanup in this case; what you need to do is make sure you follow WP:Before when it comes to proposing an article for deletion or nominating it for deletion. Um, I believe I put that delete on the wrong article, sorry. I think you might be addressing the issues I was having so thanks! MurderByDeadcopy"bang!" 21:29, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Week 10 peer review

I am not seeing much done here I would recommend that you find some sources them editing. I recommend doing some more research. Brycelog (talk) 03:14, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

involuntary celibacy

[edit]

The link to involuntary celibacy redirects to incel. These are two quite different things, with the latter referring only to the online subculture. This is already established, and it is also established that involuntary celibacy shall not have it's own article. Thus I have removed the link for now, but someone should also reconsider the framing of that section. Many consider involuntary celibacy to be a neologism; in order to prevent confusion, we probably shouldn't frame it as 'involuntary celibacy' at all. Solo sex?

[edit]

This is called masturbation. Who could come up with such a strange phrase? 82.149.139.70 (talk) 04:50, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

obvious source of sexual frustration?

[edit]

While this could perhaps be assigned to another category, it seems like it should be somewhere near the top of the list: inability to find a willing partner.

Sure, it's possible to masturbate, but this might not be satisfactory. I think the "social" category is just too vague, that could mean a lot of different things. Of course, there is the possibility of employing a hooker, but (setting aside the legal and financial issues) this is typically disparaged.

I have reason to believe that not only is this a significant cause of sexual frustration among males, but that (within the U.S.) it is actually the leading cause of sexual frustration among men in the 18-65 year age range.

Maybe somebody can help to find an academic paper that would support such a claim. Fabrickator (talk) 01:58, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Involuntary celibacy

[edit]

There should be a section on involuntary celibacy different to "incel". Or at least involuntary celibacy as its own page since its a completely different phenomena than just being sexually frustrated. Most information on early involuntary celibacy being added to Incel is redirected and said to fit better here. Aradicus77 (talk) 17:23, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
