List of episodes

Is there a list of episodes for Sesame Street? If not, a list should be created.Cwater1 (talk) 03:55, 29 October 2022 (UTC)

I see the point now. It would be a lot to fill since there are now 52 seasons which 53 coming soon. There is the Muppet wiki that has the episode guide. It was just an idea. @Cwater1, it wasn't a horrible question. ;) Yes, it would have been a total waste of your valuable time! 'Cause more than likely someone (like me) would've reverted it. Hi, Christine (Figureskatingfan). It has been quite a while. Just thought I come back and maybe see if just the list of seasons can be added, not the list of each episodes. I understand on why we are not adding the list of episodes. I am aware of Muppet Wiki like I said last time.

@Cwater1, my feeling about episode lists is that I've always been against them. Of course, I was under the impression that episode lists refer to a list and description of each and every episode, like what Muppet Wiki does and what other WP articles about TV shows do (i.e., Ted Lasso#Episodes), and I'm still opposed to it because, as I've said, that would make this article way too large and unwieldy. However, now that you've demonstrated the chart above, I'm willing to change my position. I think that including the chart above into this article would be fine, but I also think that you need to find as many sources as possible for the dates. Maybe a list of episodes isn't all that necessary. I don't think the Wheel of Fortune (US show) article covers every episode there was. I think the Dr. Phil show was the same way. The Ellen DeGeneres show has episodes for who was on there. I do wish you all happy editing. Cwater1 (talk) 19:50, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

Controversies

Could a "Controversies" or "Controversial Episodes" section be created, like for example:-

• The episode were the Reverend Jesse Jackson made an appearance, or
• Episode No. 847 broadcast on the 10th February 1976 which showed the actress Margaret Hamilton reprising her role of The Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. There was never an announcement that the season was supposed to start that day. That was a fan assumption that was just plain wrong. That date coming and going means nothing. Do you get that? The season 55 premier date hasn't been announced, but that doesn't mean the end of the series. That's silly.

Yes. Please. A cursory look at Muppet Wiki may help. The show's seasons haven't always started in early November. For example, Season 7 started on Dec. 1, 1979. During the rest of the 70s and for most of the 80s, they began in mid-to-late November. Season 44 premiered on September 16, 2013. NET vs. PBS

The lead currently says, "It has aired on the United States national public television provider PBS since its debut ...." "Its" is ambiguous in that sentence. "Sesame Street" has aired on PBS since the debut of PBS, but for a year before that, the show aired on National Educational Television (NET). The sentence as currently written could imply that "Sesame Street" started on PBS instead of on NET. I'm not sure how to rephrase the sentence without being overly pedantic, though. -- Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:33, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
