Canon in D

[edit]

I feel like this song is inspired by Canon in D by Pachelbel. Is that true and if it is, is it worthy to note? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flossingjonah (talkcontribs) 23:13, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A year ago, I commented to Lafferty on her YouTube account about an arrangement of the Canon in D I'd heard on the radio...

Q: Hi Karen, I just learned somewthing fascinating. I was listening to an arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D the other day on Sirius Escape and noticed that the arranger so{{mehow managed to fit "Seek Ye First" into it! I'd love to know if Canon in D was an influence on your composition. Take care and God bless.
A: Yes, it's actually been recorded together many times. I guess Pachelbel and I both just used the same chord progression

So, I would say that it's true, but not that big of a deal. -

duplicate and contradicting sentence & reference

[edit]

I am confused by the two contradicting references to All God's People Sing that @Epiphyllumlover added; could someone please tell if the hymn is number 140 or 207 in the book? I wanted to remove one of the two references completely, but I have no idea which one is correct ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Torzsmokus (talk) 22:18, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. What was I thinking? Anyway, I fixed it.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 22:35, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
