Help with citations

[edit]

Can someone help with the references please? I think the infobox ref tag is messing the in-text citations up for some reason. I did them all the same way and the way I have done them in other articles, so not sure what's wrong. Thanks. PPSE15 (talk) 01:28, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Dihydrosphingosine redirected to here?

[edit]

Dihydrosphingosine and Safingol are different molecules.

Dihydrosphingosine, also known as Sphinganine.
Safingol. Notice how the hydroxy and amino groups are on the same chirality (OH is also on solid triangle like NH2) – unlike sphinganine, whose groups are on opposite chiralities (OH on "signal bars" instead of sold triangle). If the outermost OH were the "head" , then the solid triangle parts would be the "left hand"; safingol has two left-hand parts, whereas sphinganine has a left-hand and a right-hand part.
