Comment: New from a redirect that I created on March 25. She's a nominee for Lt Gov, no timeline on the confirmation hearings, so the wording on that depends on the timing of this being posted.

Article is a new redirect, expanded to a suitable length, hook is interesting but have to AGF on the non-English and subscription-only services. Copyvio tool reports a near certainty of copying https://frwiki.info/en/Sabina_Matos-2626444644 - I assume this is a reverse copy? Also needs a QPQ. The confirmation process is scheduled to begin on April 8.[2] It shouldn't be too long for her to be confirmed. I know, WP:CRYSTAL, but the Rhode Island Senate is controlled by Democrats, and McKee and Matos are Democrats. Assuming there are no skeletons in her closet that come to light in the next week, it should be a cakewalk and shouldn't take long. It looks like somebody jumped the gun and changed the infobox from "politician" to "officeholder". It's only just gone 7am EST so that's a little premature, but in 12 hours time this issue should be moot. Ritchie333 ^(talk) ^(cont) 11:20, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

She is still an officeholder, in the Providence City Council. Her full confirmation vote is scheduled for April 13, and she could be sworn in the same day.[3] – Muboshgu (talk) 21:12, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Criminal investigation into Matos's nomination papers…

…since the nominees include dead people, as well as people who’ve moved away, although some are allegedly legit ;-) Shouldn’t this be in the article? Too many sources to count are reporting this. Boscaswell talk 07:39, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Let's wait and see. If she still makes the ballot and is not found to have had any personal involvement or knowledge about false signatures being submitted, it doesn't pass the WP:10YT. There should be an update to the article indicating that the Board of Elections voted to subpoena all 11 of the individuals who signed Matos' nomination papers. If they refuse to show up, they will be in contempt and possibly jailed. If they refuse to speak or plead the 5th, the Board of Elections will throw out the enter page of signatures. Beware of WP:RECENTISM and WP:OR. She has enough valid signatures. From the Associated Press yesterday, "Election board finds no pattern of nomination signature fraud in Rhode Island US House race". Despite the alleged fraud, the board confirmed that Matos’s campaign had collected more than enough voter signatures to qualify for the Sept. 5 primary ballot to seek the Democratic nomination in the race to succeed former Rep.
