Was this ship flagged to Lebanon?
[edit]The Shipslist website states that St Margaret was sold to Lebanon, while Mitchell & Sawyer state that she was sold to Panama.
I'm wondering whether the situation was similar to that ot Argobeam, which was sold to a Panamanian company, but operated under the Lebanese flag. Can anyone confirm this via a RS? Mjroots (talk) 08:08, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- Good question! Belt and Appleyard's book on Strick Line says the owners were based in Lebanon, but does not say where she was registered. "Scottish Built Ships" also says "Lebanon", but does not specify a port. And the company name is in Spanish, which suggests Panama. Until one of us sees her entry in a 1961 or 1962 Lloyd's Register, I doubt whether we can be sure. Motacilla (talk) 11:49, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
