While I agree that Islamic militants have a history of raping Hindu women and Jihad against Hindus, there is no evidence that those were Islamic militants dressed in Indian army.Thelordofsword (talk) 12:37, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect army numbers

The article says: "The critics of the Indian military presence in the valley contend that 600,000 troops are present in the state, according to which the region possesses the highest ratio of troops to civilians in the world."

The number of 600,000 is attributed to vaguely defined "critics" and is several times the actual number. The ratio also has no citation.

There are only 130,000 Indian army troops, in addition to 45,000 Rashtriya Rifles troops. The total is 175,000.

Even considering 26% of Central Police forces, this number only increases by 75,000 to a total of 250,000.
