Contradicting information
[edit]The lead section claims that plumbate is a hypothetical ion of formula PbO2−
3, but later in the article it is stated that the ion is contained in plumbate salts (implying that it has been observed). Also, the lead section refers to a single oxyanion, however, multiple anions are listed as plumbates elsewhere in the article, like PbO4−
4, Pb(OH)2−
6, and divalent ions like PbI−
x.

- Its a complicated topic plus old-fashioned jargon. Lots of the "-ate" articles have weaknesses. These articles would benefit from further editing. --Smokefoot (talk) 15:37, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
