Pronunciation of "Pix"?

I believe is was introduced to move money among criminal organizations. There is no accountability, and people do not need to identify themselves so no income tax or sales tax on transactions. You can make a PiX number from a cellphone number, and a cellphone "chip" comes with the phone number and can be bought anonymously at news stands or supermarkets for around US$ 2,00.
