Frequency-doubling crystals.
[edit]Hello, This article could benefit from describing whether its topic is somehow related to "frequency-doubling crystals" or completely different? The practical limits of phenomenon should also be explained. I.e. it's unlikely that photon-upconversion would work on gamma ray photons emitted by Co-60 isotope (so that radiation from old-style but affordable Cobalt Machines could gain efficiency in fighting cancer equal to the modern and expensive LINACs).
