czarist military?

I don't see how he could have served as a captain in the Czarist military, as he was only 15 when the Czar and his family was executed. There is no note of this in the Russian article. I'm removing that comment. Avram (talk) 22:00, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw an article the other day that mentioned that he had died of starvation. Unfortunately, I lost the link. If I can find it again, I'll post it here.

legitimacy of claim to have discovered the LED

I'm skeptical that Oleg Losev should be credited for discovering the LED. However, I am convinced that he should not be credited for inventing the LED. I studied the Nikolay Zheludev publication "The life and times of the LED - a 100-year history." It does not substantiate the premise that Losev's name should be taught to future generations as that of the discoverer of the LED. The Zheludev publication is cited > 80 times, according to Google Scholar. I am concerned that improper claims are being propagated on the internet.
