This organization should not be listed as a record label. It should be listed as a non-profit organization.

I think you are correct – which leads me to question why the article is under the name of Music Maker (label), when the lede, infobox and parts of the body of text clearly state the organisation is named Music Maker Relief Foundation. So, does anyone object to the official renaming of this article to Music Maker Relief Foundation ? - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 00:34, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I completely forgot about this until now. There has been no adverse comment on the proposed move (and editors have had over five years to protest). - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 18:40, 21 May 2025 (UTC) So it has now been moved with the article's wording adjusted as necessary. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 16:43, 9 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Actually another move may be needed because it appears that the organisation is now known more simply as Music Maker Foundation. I ask in forlorn hope that some other kind editor will pick this one up. (Oddly a pig just flew past my window). - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 20:15, 9 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Derek! I am actually hoping to do some edits to this page including adding a full discography and published works, however I am VERY new to Wiki processes. TaylorKenn (talk) 13:36, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello to you too. Actually I feel that a full discography is not really appropriate for this article. It is about the non-profit Foundation and gives an overview of its aims and achievements - which is fine. Moving towards the record label and its releases strikes me as potentially being out of WP:PROPORTION and WP:COATRACK. It was for these reasons that I recently removed what discography had built up in the article; with the accompanying edit summary stating "This article is fast becoming an indiscriminate list of unreferenced text". I am not sure what you mean by 'published works'?
I am all in favour of new editors wishing to contribute, but I would suggest before you really start to tap your keyboard, you have a read of WP:Five pillars - some inexperienced editors have a wholly disproportionate view of what Wikipedia actually is, and find their efforts are quickly reverted according. Wiki processes are rather like learning to walk. It is preferable to take small steps, one at a time, instead of entering the Marathon event at the Olympics and then wondering why you have fallen over just after the gun goes off. Unless some bugger in the crowd has taken a pot shot at you and then it is wholly acceptable - although you are still unlikely to win a medal ! (To be clear, clicking on any text in blue will take you to that subject matter). Best wishes. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 14:23, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much Derek! Perhaps I should create a separate page entirely for the discography? I have also just discovered the sandbox function and will practice there before making any more edits. Thanks for your suggestions on this! TaylorKenn (talk) 15:47, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You may find the information within this useful. It is preferable to use wikitables for such discographies, rather than just a long list of items (which so often look like laundry list(s)). An alternative is to copy and paste a table from an existing article (for example, Alligator Records), and adjust/amend to suit. Remember, one step at a time ! - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 16:21, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
