Canonical expression

@Zoozaz1: I disagree with your recent page move, because "Moscow, Third Rome" is the canonical expression used to describe what the article is about. Veverve (talk) 21:22, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Zoozaz1: Expressions used are either "Moscow - Third Rome" (e.g. here), or "Moscow the Third Rome" (e.g. here, here). The canonical expression in Russian is "Москва — Третий Рим" which literally translates to "Moscow — Third Rome", and a more dynamic translation would be "Moscow, Third Rome" as I put before. Philotheus, Prince of Polotsk, son of Mindaugas, wrote a letter to the Grand Duke of Lithuania in Vilnius. According to the Chronicle of Bykhovets, Vilnius was built by people from Italy, that is, Vilnius was the third Rome. Александр Макович (talk) 00:00, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
