Will conduct a review after I complete Talk:The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre/GA1. Jon698 (talk) 01:52, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- A quick review of the images shows that all of them have alts, except for one image which I fixed. All of these images are also in the public domain. Laborer's Love looks pretty interesting so I'm going to sidetrack this review for twenty minutes to watch it lol. Jon698 (talk) 17:40, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- I have made a few copyedits to the page starting here and ending here. I will look at 11 of the references, accounting for 10% of the total. Jon698 (talk) 19:52, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Crisco 1492: For the "Final years and closure" section, could the full film of Twin Sisters (1934 film) be added? It would fit nicely with all of the other images and videos and from my reading of the article it seems to be their last successful film. Jon698 (talk) 19:52, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- Added; just went through the copyright information and it seems like my initial concerns with the URAA were unfounded. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 22:46, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

- GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
- It is reasonably well written.
- It is factually accurate and verifiable, as shown by a source spot-check.
- a (reference section):
b (inline citations to reliable sources):
c (OR):
d (copyvio and plagiarism):
- I looked at Shanghai Filmmaking: Crossing Borders, Connecting to the Globe, 1922-1938 by Xuelei Huang on Brill using the Wikipedia Library.
1. Reference [4] (page 78) covers the founders' involvement in cultural works before making the company and their membership in the Eternal Memory Society
2. Reference [8] (page 30) covers the foundation of the Mutual Stock and Produce Exchange Company
3. Reference [10] (page 23) covers Mingxing's advertisements and venture capital
4. Reference [12] (page 32) does cover an acting school established by Zheng Zhengqiu. The article originally called it a film school, which might have confused viewers into thinking it was a school teaching the filmmaking process.
5. Reference [16] (page 35) does cover the release of their first two films, their genre, the location of their release,, and their poor reception
6. Reference [18] (pages 148 to 149) does cover Zhang Xinsheng being a dramatized version of a real-life murder
7. Reference [29] (page 40) does cover the IPO of Mingxing
8. Reference [38] (page 75) covers Ren Jinping leaving Mingxing to form the Xinren Film Company
9. Reference [41] (page 43) does cover the collapse of their partnership with the Liuhe Distribution Company
10. Reference [26] (page 92) covers the hiring of Hong Shen
11. Reference [61] initially used page 52, but the information was on page 53. I corrected this and all of the information is indeed on that page.
I also fixed a minor mistake in which the Huang page source was 88 rather than 44.

- Pass/Fail:
- This is an extremely well-written article that does a great job covering the history of this company. If you are going to nominate this article for FA then I suggest you go over the sources again to make sure that the page numbers are correct, but I cannot find any other significant errors in the article stopping it from becoming a GA>
- Pass/Fail:
