RfC on nationality in lead
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- There is consensus that Kundera should be described as "Czech and French". (non-admin closure) Szmenderowiecki (talk) 15:29, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
Should the lead sentence say "Czech-born French", "Czech and French", or some other option? Thedarkknightli (talk) 00:24, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Czech and French It seems to me that this complies best with MOS:NATIONALITY. The current "Czech-French" is definitely wrong. -- Random person no 362478479 (talk) 20:56, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Czech and French (invited by the bot) "Czech-French" is ambiguous/ does not inform. And he has those two citizenships. This is not to rule out other options. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 00:12, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Czech and French per MOS:NATIONALITY. These might be speedy closes since the editor appears to have opened several similar RfCs on this topic. Nemov (talk) 13:34, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Czech is enough, he is mostly known as Czech writer and his writings in Czech are the reason for his notability Marcelus (talk) 18:22, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Czech and French per MOS:NATIONALITY as mentioned above. Chaotic Enby (talk) 22:03, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- Czech and French per above.--Ortizesp (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Just a note to self that there might be good material in here, which I’ve only glanced at but which seems promising: https://www.compactmag.com/article/why-kundera-never-went-home/ Tophtucker (talk) 01:10, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

Expulsion from the party - why?
[edit]The article contains the sentence "In 1950, he was expelled from the party", but there is no explanation of why, and it is rather incongruous. Could I suggest that someone with better knowledge of this topic than I add some background. Regards Davidelit (Talk) 08:01, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
