Lets remove the maintenance header
[edit]for nine years this article has head an ugly maintenance header. It complains of 2 things:
- too much reliance on primary sources. Well - that is normal with product articles, especially in the context of open source. The New York Times rarely writes articles about obscure open source projects Amf over the last 10 years - lack of notability. Well, despite his concerns the author was not willing to actually to do an RfD, so I presume he - like me - thought he is likely wrong with this.
The maintenance template was added at the day of the article's creation. I conclude the issues have been addressed since.
I propose to remove the template, and, barring serious objections, intend to do so. Wefa (talk) 17:05, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
- It's been 4,5 years. The thing is still there. I second your motion of removing the banner. If there are actual problems with the information then those need to be addressed. But maintenance of this level doesn't take 10+ years. And if there was a serious problem with the information itself, then it shouldn't have been up for so long to begin with. [edit]An editor has repeatedly tried to replace the official link to microsip.org, which has been part of this page for over a decade, with microsip.us, which appears to be a copycat site at best and is of safety concern. This has been reverted by multple editors. Please do not reattempt until yuo find conssnsus to do so on this talk page. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 13:48, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
