Splitting
[edit]What are y’all’s thoughts on splitting the page so the section about the M87 SMBH has its own page? It seems awfully long and detailed to just be a subsection or even a section of this article, and it would definitely meet notability guidelines Shocksingularity (talk) 01:32, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
- At a quick glance, you seem to be talking about six paragraphs of text and a bunch of images. You'd have to leave some of them in place anyway as a summary, which doesn't leave a lot of unique text for a new article. Tarl N. (discuss) 01:52, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
- On first glance, it seemed that too many images had been crammed in to that section since the FA promotion, and I was going to suggest simply removing some images and prose tightening. But the content reveals that the imaging in this case was novel/historic, hence those images are useful somewhere. A separate article may be warranted so the image clutter here can be reduced, and for better summarization. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 07:46, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
