Six day war

[edit]

Can anyone confirm May 16, 1967 as the date Israel took Jerusalem in the Six Day War as listed in this article? This appears to be false. Economy1 (talk) 12:53, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since the item is not supported, I have removed it. It can be added back if support (in the form of a link to a supporting article) is provided. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 13:18, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brendan the Navigator

[edit]

This entry had "Roman Catholic Church" listed after, implying that only that Church venerated him. The W article on him lists Anglican Communion and Eastern Orthodox Church as well. I put them in, but in general is it better to list them? Or leave it blank as in the majority of saints who are "generally" venerated. I notice that Andrew Bobola has nothing listed after his name, although the Orthodox certainly would not venerate him, and I presume neither would the Anglican Communion. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 11:59, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Women's suffrage in Kuwait

[edit]

According to the relevant Wikipedia article and the source it cites (https://nvdatabase.swarthmore.edu/content/kuwaiti-women-struggle-suffrage-blue-revolution-2002-2005), this vote occurred on the 17th of May and not the 16th. I'll be happy to change it if that is the consensus Elspooky (talk) 05:56, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Laktionov

[edit]

The Wiki article for the artist Laktionov say he was born on May 29, not May 16.

they can't both be right. 71.128.242.202 (talk) 13:07, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Petrandreev13 - you changed Laktionov's date of birth in his article from May 16 to May 29 back in June 2023. Do you have a reliable source for this change? Kiwipete (talk) 23:47, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Here's a source I found, though not sure if it's reliable: https://artinvestment.ru/auctions/68/
His birthdate is shown as 16 (29) May, but number 16 is according to the Julian calendar, while the number in parentheses (29) is according to the calendar we use today, Gregorian calendar. That is why I changed it to the date according to the Gregorian calendar, but you're free to edit the article however you like if I'm wrong. Petrandreev13 (talk) 07:30, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Petrandreev13. I've updated his article to include both New Style and Old Style dates of birth. As per WP:DOYSTYLE, I've removed the entry from May 16 and added it to May 29. Kiwipete (talk) 09:56, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
