Structures not exactly matching the definition of building
[edit]Transport buildings does currently not include:
Industrial buildings does not include:
Whereas other includes:
And military buildings includes:
All of these do not exactly match the strictest definition of building. The article on buildings on the other hand gives a very broad definition:
- "Any human-made structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or continuous occupancy."
Even a sandcastle does support a use, e.g. the joy of building one. But most importantly roads and fields do. But these probably shouldn't be called a building.
So what should be included in this list? And what would be a better definition for building?

- I would suggest changing the title to "List of building and structure types" so to not exclude those non-building structures listed above. Alternatively, create a separate article called "List of structure types" or "List of non-building structure types" to put all of those in it. --Legion (talk) 01:02, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
