Gallon smashing

Bummed to this version of Gallon smashing redirected. Hope to collaborate on an article expansion at a later date! ---Another Believer _(Talk) 18:50, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a blank and redirect notice for that article's history. The redirection was the result of an AfD discussion that noted a lack of sustained impact and recentism. @Pourtigesesquirllatschool41243: If you read the deletion discussion for the gallon smashing article, you will find the article lacked sustained coverage after it was reported on in 2013 and had little impact. In other words it was a short-lived fad that failed the 10 year test. Please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and there are many things that Wikipedia is not, with news stories about short-lived fads being one of them. Now if there was some serious academic study that analysed this phenomenon perhaps that would be a different story. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 07:43, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Pourtigesesquirllatschool41243: I can think of additional reasons to justify deletion, such as Wikipedia is not news; the phenomenon was not global; milk is not sold by the gallon in countries that use the metric system, where it is sold by the litre; it is an unnecessary content fork of this article. I see no use in crying over spilt milk. However, there are ways to challenge the deletion process; I wish you luck. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:15, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I read the entire article over, yet it did not include Nyquil Chicken. Nyquil Chicken was basically a challenge of cooking chicken with Nyquil that stemmed from a JOKE video.
