Edit request (old data and information)

[edit]

Dear Sir or Madam,

The page contains a lot of old official information (mainly statistics) about my native country.

Fortunately the page in Latvian language is editable for everyone.

Edited according to offical data: 1) Ethnic groups by percentage (2024) 2) Population (2024) and its' rank 3) Population density (2024) and its' rank 4) GDP (nominal) - TOTAL & PER CAPITA and their ranks 5) GDP (PPP) - TOTAL & PER CAPITA and their ranks 6) GINI - latest 2023 and its' rank

This page contains old data about: 7) Actual total fertility rate (2018) 8) Life expectancy (2013) 9) Religions by percentage (2011)

Sports section has nothing about IIHF Ice Hockey 2023 bronze medal and FIBA 2023 World Cup 5th place. Both easily highest achievements by Latvian national teams.

I would like to ask the permit to edit this page.

Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EdgarsKiecis (talkcontribs) 20:20, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to change from "restoration of both de facto and officially independence" to "restoration of both de facto and official independence" in lead for grammar. Placeholderer (talk) 17:39, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"The peaceful Singing Revolution started in 1987 among the Baltic Soviet republics and ended with the restoration of both de facto and officially independence on 21 August 1991."

I suggest changing the word "officially" to the word "official" in the statement given above. This statement is present in the second paragraph of the introduction of the "Latvia" Wikipedia page. CassiniHuygens1997 (talk) 15:49, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
