Why should this exist as a stand-alone article?

[edit]

Hi User:Wikidea and all: Why should this exist as a stand-alone article and not just be merged into International Labour Organization? EMsmile (talk) 08:34, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you have an argument for a merger, you're better off proposing it then pinging the one-year-dormant editor who made the article 12 years ago. Yue🌙 18:43, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
True. Done. EMsmile (talk) 08:30, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Merger

[edit]

I propose to merge this into International Labour Organization because I don't see any reason for having a stand-alone article on this. A redirect to the relevant section could be placed instead. EMsmile (talk) 08:27, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for suggesting this. I'd rather have two good articles, but this one is in such bad shape that it's the best of a bad situation. Bearian (talk) 02:01, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Few people would search on "labour is not a commodity". The article gets very few visits (the ILO article gets far more). It would be better to shift this content to the history section in the ILO page (where the left-wing origins of the ILO are mentioned). — Preceding unsigned comment added by DJJB621 (talkcontribs)
Thanks for these inputs. I think we have a consensus on merging, so I've just done the merger now. The content from this article was actually already included in the other one under "objectives" (I did that a few weeks ago).EMsmile (talk) 19:51, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
