Western Magar VS Norther Magar

[edit]

I changed the term "Western Magar" to "Northern Magar" in this article because all the sources I have access to call the group "Northern Magars" and because the Magars of Rukum and Baglung generally refer to themselves using their clan name and 'Magar' (i.e. Mani Pun Magar or Sampal Budha Magar). If an academic work attesting to the use of "Western Magar" is published or found, this term should be added as well. Lemajd01 (talk) 06:02, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Khas and Kham

[edit]

I think there is some connection between khas people and kham people even though there is differences on their appereances. From my point of view the both group of people have same roots since both of them are animist and follow shamanic traditions, also the khas people belived '12 gods and 9 goddess'as their spiritual pratice whereas kham people have '12 barahas and 9 bujus' as their deities. As the kham magar myself the verb used in khas and kham kind of seems similar.Khas people end their word with 'Garnya ',"khanya' and kham people have also same 'jainya which is to do ,or garney in nepal, and 'jyanya which is to eat '.I feel like there is some connection.Since the khas region is fertile outsiders have certain influenced on one side and whereas the 'kham region' is still considered difficult terrain which made them isolated from other tribes that's why they were able to preserve their originality 51.36.227.134 (talk) 16:50, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
