Kahekili?

There is an office record of a "Kahekili" from a bit later who was a founding member of the House of Nobles. Probably died in 1841, might have been related?

Chief Keoua gov. of Maui?

In Honolulu on Nov. 28, 1823, Levi Chamberlain notes in his Journal: Friday 28. The Chief Keoua, gov. of Maui, who died yesterday in the village, was buried today within the walls of the Fort. This contradicts the information in Governors of Maui and in this article, that Keeaumoku II was governor until his death on March 23, 1824.

Additionally, in the article Hoapili I found this: In May Keōpuolani decided to move to Maui, land of her birth. Hoapili, her husband, had just been named governor of that island.
