Not done This is a modern caste / community article not of the ancient one. The article of the ancient tribe is Kambojas. Make the request in the relevant talk page → Talk:Kambojas. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:13, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
Abandoned user draft
[edit]In July 2022 DharamaPala (talk · contribs) expanded the article, but that edit was reverted by Tbhotch.
DharamaPala subsequently made a further attempt at User:DharamaPala/sandbox. Please would an interested editor assess the material on that page, incorporate whatever may be useful, then blank that page as WP:COPYARTICLE, and leave a note here when done? – Fayenatic London 12:10, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

[edit]@Kambojahistory: Stop edit warring and adding content based on unreliable British Raj era sources. Hence I've restored the last stable version. The onus is upon you to seek WP:CONSENSUS for every part you're trying to include here per WP:BRD. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:05, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
- I understand the concerns raised regarding the inclusion of the Kamboj rajput content and the reliance on British Raj era sources. I want to clarify that my intention has never been to disrupt or push any biased narrative. I have cited sources like Rose's Glossary of Tribes and Castes (Vol II, 1911), Census of India 1931, and recent NCBC reports (2022), which are commonly referenced in similar community articles.
- I am open to feedback on improving the neutrality and tone of the content. I am not here to force edits but to collaborate and ensure historically verifiable information is properly presented. To avoid further conflict.
- I kindly request fellow editors to guide on how the cited content can be included appropriately while adhering to WP:NPOV and WP:CONSENSUS. My only aim is to improve the article with sourced material.

- I'll edit the Kamboj page with the real sources and I'll not cut any information which is already on the article. Kambojahistory (talk) 18:46, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello @Agent VII as I had provided the all information with correct and real sources, and the article is of Kamboj, and in this article it it only hyping Muslims kambohs, but in the last version all the religions and famous personalities were getting equal hype, so I'm requesting to restore the edit. --Kambojahistory (talk) Kambojahistory (talk) 04:09, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

I request adding a new subsection under the Demographics section titled (Caste Classification and Rajput Identity) to improve verifiability and align with WP:RAJ and WP:V policies.
Caste Classification and Rajput Identity
[edit]The Hindu and Sikh Kamboj communities are officially classified under Rajput subgroups. According to the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) Annual Update Report 2022, Kamboj are listed as a Suryavanshi and Agnivanshi Rajput within OBC Classification.[1]
Ethnographic research conducted by the Anthropological Survey of India, as documented in "People of India" by K.S Singh (1996), identifies the Kamboj as a Rajput subgroup linked to Suryavanshi and Raghuvanshi lineages in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.[2] Colonial-era ethnographic works such as "Glossary of Tribes and Castes" by H.A Rose described the Kamboj as a martial community associated with Rajput clans in India.[3]
In contemporary Classifications, the Hindu and some Sikh Kambojs are widely regarded as Rajputs and predominantly identity as Kamboj Rajputs in North India.
