Birthplace and Pronouns?
[edit]His or her audition tape (which is on youtube though I can't link it here) says he or she was raised in Fresno, but this Wikipedia currently says "According to her audition tape, Inthyrath was born...in Fresno, California and raised in Boston". He or she also says she was from Boston, but if she was raised in Fresno, how does the infobox know where she was born?
This page also refers to both Inthyrath and JujuBee as she/her exclusively while 'her' fandom wiki page uses he/him pronouns , but it doesn't show any WP:RS showing that she is trans or has declared a preference of pronouns. I was about to change stuff around but since I can't find any definitive RS either way, I put it to the talk page to try to figure out what we should do here. Does anyone have any experience answering these questions on other wikipedia pages? Kire1975 (talk) 00:59, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Kire1975 Unless the subject has stated preferences, we should assume using he/him when referring to Inthyrath and she/her when referring to Jujubee. Often, this looks like a biography with he/him in the Early life and Personal life sections, but she/her in the Career section. Of course, there are exceptions and different article structures, but that's a very general summary. I would recommend reviewing some of the Good articles at WikiProject RuPaul's Drag Race as examples. ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:43, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
Airline?
[edit]Is that pronounced like the English word "airline", or is it a Laotian name that just happens to be spelled the same?173.27.3.111 (talk) 21:29, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- She pronounces it like the English word. She's said that her parents intended to name her Airlin, and because they didn't know English, didn't realize that the additional letter would make such a big difference. https://web.archive.org/web/20210225051931/https://m.phnompenhpost.com/7days/all-glitters-bold EllieDellie (talk) 05:34, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

Jujubee (drag queen) → Jujubee – Jujubee is currently a redirect to Jujube. Seems like an unnecessary redirect considering the spelling of "jujubee" receives no mention at jujube. "Jujubee", with two E's, seems to almost exclusively refer to the drag queen.
In this case, it is likely fine to nix the parenthetical disambigator on Jujubee (drag queen) and just differentiate the article from Jujube with hatnotes pointing to each other (See WP:SMALLDIFFERENCES) RachelTensions (talk) 19:47, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: Nevertheless, she probably derived her name from Jujube (confectionery), and this seems like a natural spelling variation. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:53, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- Her name is absolutely derived from either the plant or the candy, but I don't see any indication that "jujubee", with the extra E, is a spelling variation that is commonly used to refer to either of them. At least not anything that would indicate that the drag queen isn't the primary topic for the spelling variation. RachelTensions (talk) 03:58, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support This seems like a clear application of WP:SMALLDETAILS, with a hatnote pointing to "jujube" being necessary on her page post-move. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:22, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
