[edit]This funny, but not encyclopedic paragraph.
He is mentioned in the Chin Review of the film The Girl. Much humour is caused by Tarquin's misunderstanding of Jonathan Cake's name - he says that he's "heard of a fruit cake, I've heard of a victoria sponge cake, but I've never heard of a jonathan cake." Cake himself was not partial to this mockery of his name, telling The Times that "my ancestors have earnt that name over the generations - my great-great-grandfather Ernie Cake was initially a baker called Ernie Bread; he only became Ernie Cake when he got the privilege of becoming an actual cake upon the 25th anniversary of his working at the bakers'. How dare these chins add the name of this fine family into their mixing bowl of low-class wit and wine."

The Thin Blue Line
[edit]His appearance in the Sit Com The Thin Blue Line is missing from the filmography (it is mentioned in the career section). 87.114.59.96 (talk) 21:17, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
Former Rugby player
[edit]I recall reading in a newspaper article trailering "Mosley" that Cake was described as a former rugby player, and his physique at the time I thought could demonstrate that claim. Was he ever mentioned in news as being player for a particular club, did he ever reference his playing in interviews? It seems from the article that it would have been as an amateur he played.Cloptonson (talk) 09:34, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
