World Series 2024 champion

[edit]

Shouldn’t the 2024 World Series be listen as one of his awards? Although he didn’t pitch in the postseason he is still considered a member of the team and participated in the ceremonies, parades, etc. Ernie Santiago (talk) 00:26, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

He was injured and unable to participate in the postseason. Our policy is to only list people who were on the WS roster. "participating in the parade" is not a consideration. Spanneraol (talk) 00:28, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
He received a ring, he’s a world champion… 174.18.52.146 (talk) 17:19, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In Major League Baseball, all players on a World Series-winning team are typically considered World Series winners, even if they were not on the active roster during the World Series. While the Commissioner's Trophy is awarded to the team, individual players and staff members often receive World Series rings to commemorate the victory. Teams have some discretion in deciding who receives a ring, but it's common for rings to be given to players who were on the roster during the regular season, even if they were injured or did not play in the World Series 2601:3CA:201:3BF0:FC60:9C97:A9D1:CDF2 (talk) 01:03, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
