The Jenin Brigades and the Palestinian National Authority clashed after the death of Tiran Fero because the PNA tried to help the Israel Defense Forces recover Fero's body. They should be considerd opponents. AmericanBaath (talk) 16:36, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
@Smallangryplanet I thought the Haaretz article would have more of a place on this page rather than at 2025 Israeli raid on Jenin. For now, it's a fringe claim, with most sources stating the Brigades exist, so one article can't really just render the rest untrue. Even thought WP:CONFLICTING calls for conflicting sources to be given a fair place, in this case, with the imbalance and all, this source isn't appropriate in that infobox.
I am probably going to mention the Haaretz article under Analysis though. Evaporation123 (talk) 20:58, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell the Jenin Brigades are distinct from the illusory "Jenin Battalion" of Hamas that was getting referenced on the 2025 raid page, that's why I didn't add it here. Smallangryplanet (talk) 10:58, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- Jenin Brigades, Jenin Brigade, and Jenin Battalion tend to be mostly used as synonyms in the media. The way the group actually works seems to just be as a unifier of local PIJ/AAMB/Hamas branches, which work as one because of practicality in the ongoing fighting in the West Bank. Even if the Haaretz article is referring to only the Hamas militants in Jenin, it's still a fringe claim since most other sources say the Jenin Brigades are made up of PIJ, AAMB, and Hamas fighters.
