Did you know nomination
[edit]

- ... that Irve Tunick wrote the script for Murder Inc., released in 1960, which earned an Academy Award for best actor nomination for Peter Falk?

- I am happy to do a QPQ but I wanted to get this on DYK for June 27. I didn't realize I was up for a review. Can we hold this as a DYK while I work to through the QPQ so we can hit the deadline of June 27?
- I am going to review Template:Did you know nominations/John P. Morris to fulfill my QPQ. Let me know if that doesn't work for some reason. Remember (talk) 13:14, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
- Finished my review of John P. Morris. Remember (talk) 19:01, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Hey, this article is really good! However, there is a problem - there is a big copyright issue on earwig [1] based on this source [2] - could you please fix this by cutting some quotes/rephrasing things in your own words and then I will approve this? - Fixed. Let me know if there is anything else to do. Remember (talk) 19:07, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
- @DaniloDaysOfOurLives: has this article been passed? If not, what else needs to be done? Remember (talk) 02:53, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

- @Remember: Hey, I'm so sorry that I did not see this. Thank you so much for doing the QPQ and fixing the copyright issue! There is a problem with the hook though – the second part about the award is not in the source provided, but also it does seem particularly interesting as many writers produce scripts that win actors awards... could you please propose some alternative hooks that are supported completely by the sources? It could be that perhaps he worked in the department of education before becoming a scriptwriter or anything that you think is quirky or interesting or will hook readers. Please ping me when you've done so and I will try my hardest to approve it today (or whenever you propose them) 😊 DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 05:05, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- @DaniloDaysOfOurLives: Thank you so much for your help! Here is an alternative hook:
- Alt1"...Irve Tunick said he wrote about 700 to 800 scripts in his first 15 years of writing radio scripts?" The source for this can be found in an interview he did here Link ("Irve Tunick, CBS scripter, who works on You Are There, had this to say about it: “I've written probably 750 or 800 scripts in the past fifteen years, at the rate of one a week."). 16:31, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
- @DaniloDaysOfOurLives:, also I had a question: Irve Tuncik's last script was for Police Woman episode "The Chasers". You can see it in the credits at the 1:58 mark here - [3], but I don't know what source to cite to to substantiate it for this article. Remember (talk) 16:25, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
Thank you! I am approving this article for ALT1. Regarding your question, I have added the source to the article :)

Note to closer: Please can this DYK be published on 27 June? DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 05:01, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
